I can't believe it, but this past Wednesday was the SECOND time I got to livestream DURING a hurricane here in Cocoa Beach, Florida! A few weeks ago, it was Hurricane Ian, and this past week it was Hurricane Nicole.
For me, the energy of a hurricane is one of high alert. It's energizing in a unique way--knowing you're at the mercy of nature. Getting to do my Reggae Radio One show BOTH times a hurricane passed through this season was a blessing. I was able to get my mind off the formidable storm and have fun with the music and everyone tuning in. I didn't know if I'd retain power and internet connection, but I did both times.
This second hurricane show was the most fun I've had live-streaming on Twitch yet! I had a bunch of friends, regular viewers, and several new Twitch followers tuning in and being active in the chat. I played a lot of Reggae Party Favorites from artists like Collie Buddz, Chronixx, Jah Cure, Sean Paul, Wayne Wonder and Shaggy--it was a big time with everyone!!
